Happy Valentine’s M+B babes! The big day is nearly here and this year we’ve got you totally covered with a half up, half down look that’s easy to recreate with your Milk + Blush Hair Extensions. So whether you’re out for a date or in for a night with your besties, this is the perfect hairstyle to wear.
Step 1
The first thing you need to do is split your hair into two sections to create the half up half down style. Clip both sections out the way with section clips and you’re ready to start.
Step 2
Take the top section down and split the hair into a centre parting. You then want to create a small pony in the middle of this section. This is your anchor pony and it’s where you’ll clip your wefts, just make sure to leave enough hair around the pony so that you can cover the clips later.
Step 3
Start clipping your wefts around the base of your anchor pony and as close to the hair tie as possible. For this look I used three of the 2-clip wefts and two 1-clip wefts to make sure the hair looked super thick.
Step 4
Once all your wefts are clipped around the pony, take the rest of your hair from the top section and brush it back to cover the clips. You might want to use a comb for this and a lot of hairspray to get it looking super smooth. Once you’re happy secure your pony with a hair tie to hold everything in place.
Step 5
Take a small section from underneath the pony and wrap it around the hair tie to hide it and polish off your look. You can then clip this top section out the way, until you’re ready to curl your hair later.
Step 6
Take down the bottom section of your hair and start clipping in the rest of your wefts. If you have shorter hair like me, it’s a good shout to pin the section at the nape of your neck to avoid any pesky pieces sticking out later. Start with your 2-clip weft, then the two 3-clip wefts and then your quad weft.
Step 7
Once all of your wefts are clipped in and your hair is looking super thick you’re ready to get curling. I used the T3 Curling Wand with the 1.25'' - .75'' tapered barrel for this look as the smaller wand makes for bigger volume. Starting with the bottom section curl your hair in small pieces away from your face. Once the bottom is done you can go ahead and curl your high pony too, just make sure to set everything in place with hairspray as you go.
Step 8
Once your curls are cool, brush them out to create soft waves and finish with another dust of hairspray. You’re done!
