Tried and Tested: Hairburst Supplements

milk-and-blush-hair-extensions-hairburst-supplements-review Here at M+B we’re pretty obsessed with hair care so it figures that as a team we try out a lot of new products. To make us feel better about our groaning bathroom cabinets we thought it would be cool to share some of the things we’ve found as part of a new series. We’re calling it Tried & Tested and the plan is to give you honest reviews on some of the weirdest and most hyped products out there. For the past month M+B babe Esme has been taking the Hairburst hair supplements to see if they can make her locks grow. These are the best selling supplement in the UK and a fave on the feeds of people like Charlotte Crosby, Louise Thompson and Lydia Bright so we were super intrigued as to whether they really work. milk-and-blush-hair-extensions-hairburst-supplements-review Esme also opted for the chewable version which only contains 10 natural ingredients to help your hair grow and improve your hair health. The main ingredients are Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B5, B6, B12 and Selenium to help strengthen your hair and promote growth. They’re also gluten and dairy free but aren’t suitable for vegetarians. It claims to: Hairburst promises hydrated and revitalised hair, increased growth and improved condition after just one month. We only tested these out for a month but if you keep taking them it promises optimum hair growth by month two with less fall out that will continue as you keep taking the tablets. Price: £19.99 milk-and-blush-hair-extensions-hairburst-supplements-review Before: We measured Esme’s hair at the start of the test and it was 24” long from the crown to the ends. milk-and-blush-hair-extensions-hairburst-supplements-review After: Average hair growth per month is roughly ½ an inch so and Esme’s had grown 1 whole inch - so it was above average. The verdict: I opted for the chewable version as I’m really bad at swallowing tablets, so to avoid adding half an hour to my morning routine trying to get a few tablets down me, this was definitely quicker. The only downside to opting for the chewable ones though, was that it felt like a very unhealthy way to start the day. As they’re strawberry and blackcurrant flavour, they literally taste like sweets - think along the lines of wine gums - and this didn’t seem like a great way to kickstart my day. I believe they have quite a high sugar content for the size, and so I wouldn’t like to be eating two of these every day for a long period of time. That aside, it really wasn't hard to remember to take these every day. Most people take other medication on a daily basis or vitamins first thing and so it’s easy to work into your routine. milk-and-blush-hair-extensions-hairburst-supplements-review Now onto the hair growth. This isn’t the kind of thing where you notice a huge difference within a few days and your hair grows at an unbelievable rate. It’s more that the supplements are made up of ingredients that can help to improve hair health, and healthy hair, as we all know, grows more quickly and easily than damaged hair. I do think they helped contribute to my hair growing over the month, and I suppose the proof is in the pudding - the average monthly hair growth is half an inch and mine grew double that at 1 inch, so you can’t argue with that. However, if your hair is super heat damaged, dry or hasn’t been trimmed in years, this isn’t a miracle product and so this seems to be to be a great add-on to a really good hair care routine if hair growth is your goal. In short, this won’t replace regular trims, giving your hair a break from heat from time to time and some deeply nourishing weekly hair masks, but it can definitely help! review-milk-and-blush-hair-extensions-hairburst-supplements-review Love tried and tested?
