Andrew GN, Alice & Olivia

Pearls

Imagine a head full of braids and pearls for a festival, paired with a summer dress and chunky boots, so perfect! Stylist Justine Marjan created the look for Alice + Olivia by sticking the gems onto the braids which is an easy way to recreate it at home. At Andrew GN they used pearl pins and also thread to weave pearl beads into the hairstyles for maximum staying power. We’re guessing this will be huge for the festival season but also as an alternative wedding hairstyle if you’re looking for something unusual.

Pony Wraps

Moving on from scrunchies the new trend is pony wraps in unconventional fabrics. From leather to strips of fabric it’s about being as creative as possible with this while adding a boost of height to your ponytail. You can use whatever you want to create the look but at Self Portrait they took an extra thick section of hair to create the same effect without an accessory - so no excuses.

Pigtails

Not just for the playground these classic girly braids had a sophisticated revival for SS20. The key is getting them really sleek and smooth so that they’re the perfect mix of feminine and strong with a grown-up edge.

Black Bows

The hair accessories trend is getting a very sophisticated update in the form of black bows. These impossibly chic ribbons will polish up even the most basic of hairstyles and it’s a really simple way to add something different to your look.

Loewe, Michael Kors, Marques' Almeida

Deep Side Parting

You can interpret this trend in so many different ways and it works with pretty much any hair length. At Loewe it was very sleek and polished, Michael Kors opted for a more natural, preppy look and it was full grunge at Marques’ Almeida. There’s a middle part hairstyle for everyone…

Slicked Back

The glossy, slicked back look is still reigning supreme with the coolest models at Versace wearing it with a tough girl vibe. Hairstylist Duffy used the Roux Fanci-Full Color Styling Mousse to temporarily dye the hair at Sies Marjan and to add loads of hold. The tinted mousse will also help to make your hair look thicker and give it more volume when it’s slicked back.

Fendi

90s Girl Band

Legendary hairstylist Sam McKnight revived some of our favourite 90s trends for the SS20 Fendi show. From space buns, to half up top knots and ditsy ponytails - it was a Spice Girls fan's dream. The joy of these looks is the messy, undone finish with face framing pieces, flyaways and uneven partings very welcome.
