How To: Create Ponytails With Hair Extensions

how to create ponytails using hair extensions milk + blush

This week I’m going to show you guys how you can create three ponytail hairstyles using your Milk + Blush Hair Extensions. I’ll be demonstrating how to create a sleek high ponytail, a pretty low ponytail and a twist on a side ponytail all using your dreamy Milk + Blush Hair.

Who doesn’t love a good ponytail? They get your hair out of your face and are a great fix for second or third day hair. Whether you’re rocking a fierce high ponytail or a soft and feminine low ponytail, incorporating hair extensions really elevates your look giving your hairstyle enviable length and volume.

In this tutorial I’m wearing my Milk + Blush Classic Seamless Set in the length 20”-22”. I’ve opted for this length for these looks as I want to create super long ponytails (long enough to swish!) and I’ve chosen the Classic Seamless Set as the seamless wefts lie really flat to your head meaning you won’t get any lumps or bumps. As always, the set I’m using is in the shade ‘Slayer’ which is a perfect match for me.

This ponytail gives me serious Kylie Jenner vibes with just a hint of Ariana Grande and incorporating your Milk + Blush Hair Extensions into a sleek pony gives you gorgeous length in seconds.

Placing the wefts upside down throughout your hair allows you to create length without lumps and bumps for a polished look - no one will even question that it’s not your own hair! It’s one of my favourite hair extension hacks!

I’ve gone for a straight pony but a wavy or curled ponytail would look just as cute.

It’s a super fierce, sleek look perfect for day or night. Pair it with your fave tee and high waisted jeans for the day or with your go to ‘Freakum’ dress for a night on the town.

I love a low ponytail but sometimes they can look a little boring - not this one!

This ponytail pairs both polished and sleek with feminine and pretty. The brushed back hair is contrasted with beautiful soft waves, so if you want to try a polished look but don’t want anything too harsh this is the perfect look for you.

I’ve curled all of the hair in the same direction to create uniformed waves but you can experiment with crazy curls or beachy waves for a more carefree vibe.

Side ponytails are great if you’re in a rush and just don’t have time to spend ages perfecting your look and this one in particular is great if you’re strapped for time.

I’ve spiced up this side ponytail by creating a fishtail braid as the base of the pony. Braids are a great way to add interest to a hairstyle and change it up a bit. They create the impression that you’ve put loads of effort and time into creating your hairstyle when really it only took you five minutes!

This style is particularly useful if, like me, you have naturally shorter hair and you want to wear your extensions in a ponytail. The braid conceals all those shorter hairs and disguises any possible disconnect.

Experiment with different braids in your ponytail and create a look that’s unique to you.

So there you have it! That’s how easy it is to create a ponytail with your Milk + Blush Hair Extensions. So whether you’re a high pony kind of girl or a laid back side pony is your thing your dreamy hair is guaranteed to step up your look!
