1. Super Hold

If you have thin hair or just want to give your clips some extra staying power then backcombing your roots before applying your extensions will make a huge difference. You can also use some dry shampoo to add extra texture, which will help with holding the clips too.

2. All In The Roots

Another root hack is to spray the tops of your extensions with some root touch up spray in your natural hair shade to help get a better blend as brighter roots can sometime give the game away.

3. Tilt Them

If you have a blunt cut or are struggling to blend your extensions with your layers then clipping the wefts on an angle can help to soften your look. Try and tilt the wefts slightly upwards towards your face as this will give you a feathered look, mimicking the effect of a layered cut and giving you a better blend.

4. Clip Up The Bottom Section

If you have short hair or a blunt cut then twisting and pinning the small section of hair at the nape of your neck can help to conceal your shorter length. This will give you a way more natural look and you won’t have to worry about any pieces sticking out below your neck either.

5. Double Up

If you’re struggling to clip all your clips in, you can double up wefts by clipping one on top of the other. This is a good hack for half up, half down styles and for anyone with thin hair who struggles to conceal wefts at the top of their head.

6. Hide A Blunt Cut

For very blunt haircuts you can clip a weft upside down at the nape of your neck to hide the ends and give you a more seamless blend. This works in the same way as clipping up the bottom section and you can use both of these hacks if you have very thick hair as well as a blunt cut to hide.

7. Blend Two Sets

If your hair is in between shades or you have lots of multi-tonal highlights you might want to mix two sets to get a perfect match. This may sound super excessive but you’ll have more hair to play with and if you get highlights often, you’ll be able to switch up the colour when you need to.

8. Braids

You can use your extensions to add thickness and length to any style of braid. Our favourite hack though is for Kardashian inspired dutch braids. All you have to do is clip your extensions on an angle to be able to create long dutch braids without showing any wefts. As you work down the braid you can also clip in some 1-clip wefts to give you extra length. These are easy to hide in the middle of your braid and you can pull out the hair to make it as thick as you need to.

We hope these hacks have given you some good ideas and that you’re feeling way more confident about wearing your hair extensions. Have any good hacks of your own? Pop them in the comments below, we love finding out new tricks!
