The Difference Between Full Head & Individual Wefts

Don’t know whether you need a full head set or just individual wefts? What with a wide range of hair extensions stocked at Dirty Looks, it’s easy to get confused as to which sets are designed for what, so we thought we’d run through the difference between the full head sets and individual wefts to make your decision easier.

One of our most popular questions is ‘what’s the difference between full head sets and individual wefts?’. So, if you’re looking to purchase a set of hair extensions but are unsure which set and weft type will suit your hair and what look you wish to create with your hair extensions, then have a read of the differences we’ve penned below.

The difference between a full head set and individual wefts

One of the main differences between full head sets and individual wefts is how much hair is included in your package. The full head sets come in different weft thickness's to suit your desired thickness and hair type. These include the standard HK Full Head Hair Extensions, which comprises of ten wefts, and the Bobby Glam Hair Extensions in Triple and Quad Weft, which both include seven wefts each. This is great as you can clip in as many of the wefts you like to suit your hair type and to achieve the right amount of thickness and volume that your heart’s content with.

The Bobby Glam Quad Weft and Triple Weft sets are the thickest of our hair extensions and also weigh the most, as they have triple or quadruple the amount of hair sewn onto each weft. Meanwhile, our Individual Wefts, including the popular Quad Weft, only include a one wefts of hair in one package. However, you can can purchase multiple packages to get the look you wish to achieve with hair extensions. The Bobby Glam Layer Blending Wefts and Highlight & Blusher Wefts are also known as individual wefts as they aren't designed to fill the whole of your head. They are great for joining the shorter strands of your hair with your hair extensions though, and the Highlight & Blusher Wefts are perfect for enhancing the shade of your hair extensions, as well as your own hair colour, too.

The next difference between the full head sets and the individual wefts are their purposes. The full head sets are used to provide length, volume and thickness to your locks, and to create an overall, natural look, whereas the individual wefts are designed to add volume to your locks or extra thickness to your full head set, but do not extend the length of your hair. These are also great for mixing and matching hair shades, and for filling any gaps in your full head sets, which is especially useful if you have extremely thick hair.

Although there are plenty of differences between our full head sets and individual wefts, there are also a few similarities between the clip in hair extensions, too. All of the hair extensions stocked at Dirty Looks are available in a wide variety of different shades and lengths to match and enhance your own natural locks, whilst helping you to achieve your dream hairstyle along the way as well.
