Today we're revealing how to get one of the girliest hairstyles of them all with a cute half-up hair bow tutorial. This simple hairstyle is a real multi-tasker, so it's perfect for a whole host of occasions - from laid-back picnics to summer weddings! Just read on to find out how to get the look...
All you need to help you through this half-up hair bow hairstyle tutorial is:
- A hair brush
- A small hair elastic
- Some bobby pins
- HK Hair Extensions (optional)
The first step in our half-up hair bow tutorial is to brush your hair through to eliminate any tangles. For this step we recommend using a Tangle Teezer, as it's perfect for nixing knots quickly and easily - minus the pain factor! When your hair is looking nice and smooth, separate off two 2cm-wide sections of hair (one on either side of your face). This amount of hair is perfect for creating a nice, dainty hair bow.
The next step in our guide to how to get a half-up hair bow is to sweep both of the sections of hair to the back of your head, and to fasten them together using a small hair elastic. Wrap the hair elastic around the hair once, and then wrap it one more time - but this time only pull your hair halfway through. This should form a loop of hair that sticks out.
To create your half-up hair bow hairstyle, divide the loop of hair in half to form the loops of the hair bow. Fasten in place with a couple of bobby pins if necessary.
To form the middle of the bow (and to help disguise that hair elastic), take a small piece of hair from the dangling section underneath the bow and wrap it around the middle.
Use a handful of bobby pins to fasten your delicate half-up hair bow hairstyle into place.
Last but not least, finish off your half-up hair bow hairstyle by misting your 'do with a spritz of the Tigi Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray. Not only does this legendary hairstyle smell delicious, but it'll also help to keep your pretty, summery style in place all day long, too!
